A. Please check the following settings:
- Notification permission: Go to Settings > Notifications > TalkTimer and make sure notifications are enabled
- Sound settings: Confirm that notification sounds are turned on
- Battery optimization: On some devices, you may need to exclude TalkTimer from battery optimization
A. To set up the Pomodoro timer:
- Enable "Pomodoro Mode" on the Add Timer screen
- Set your work duration, break duration, and number of cycles
- Once started, the app will automatically alternate between work and break sessions
- Countdown voice alerts will play at 10 and 5 seconds before each cycle ends
A. From the in-app settings screen, you can individually adjust the volume for countdown voice alerts and the end-of-timer sound.
A. Please check the following:
- Confirm that background app refresh is allowed
- Turn off Low Power Mode
- Check your device's task-killing settings (relevant on some Android devices)
A. Free users can run up to 3 timers simultaneously, while paid users can run up to 50. Start multiple timers from the timer list screen.
A. Currently, all data is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete your data.
A. Yes, TalkTimer is free to use for basic features.
Troubleshooting
If notifications are not arriving:
- Try restarting the app
- Try restarting your device
- Make sure the app is updated to the latest version
If voice audio is not playing:
- Check your device volume
- Disable Silent / Do Not Disturb mode
- Verify that audio works in other apps
